Emergency Preparedness: Be Prepared At Work
By
You can be your own lunch-hour hero!
If you're like me, you spend more of your waking day at work than you do at home. Since emergencies can happen any time of day, it's a good idea to have a disaster plan and supply kit for your office too.
A lunchbox is an excellent size to store a few valuable items:
small bottle of drinking water
small flashlight or glow stick
whistle (in case of building collapse)
dust/particle mask
candy bar
It's not a total disaster supply kit, but it is an important start. (Superman lunchbox optional.) A small, portable file box would work well, too.
