I just have to say that out of the 21 catalogs I tried to cancel since November, only 1 has actually "accepted" Catalog Choice's request. I don't know what their rate of success is, but 1 in 21 is NOT good.

I have encountered difficulties in opting out on credit card offers.

Specifically, I'm an attorney who often forms companies for my clients.

I then proceed to CONSTANTLY get credit card offers on behalf of my clients, sometimes as many as 50 in a day.

I had to buy a bigger shredder. What I find offensive is that the credit card companies expose me to potential liability, as I now have a duty to my clients to properly dispose of their credit card offers.

When you try to call the credit card companies, they tell you that you have to opt-out each individual company, that they can't just opt out all offers going to your address.

In my opinion, they make it hard, ON PURPOSE . . .

I fully agree with you there, Stanley - no credit card company ever made money by leaving you alone!

I have to agree with Lazygal - none of the catalog companies I've tried to opt out of has accepted the request. Catalogchoice will only start working once the companies recognize the requests coming from them.
