Product of the Week & Repurposed Product: Moon and Stars Store & Take-along

By Eva Wallace

117888Since I forgot to post the Repurposed Item of the Week last week, I thought I'd give you a two in one this week with the Moon and Stars Store & Take-along.

It's intended for kid's toy storage, but wouldn't it be great for crafts or stamping? Or maybe school supplies or toiletries? Even snacks in the pantry! And if the primary colors aren't you style, a quick coat of paint would make it suitable for any room.

Where would you use it??

These are great! I rent a room from a friend, so my space is very limited. I've been wanting to find some good bins or similar that I can use on my bookshelf and on the top shelf of my closet. I plan to label them (with my beloved labelmaker) and use them for toiletries, gifts, medication/first aid, crafting supplies, candles (I love to burn them, but due to my disorganization I can never find them). I don't have room for a dresser, so I may even use one for socks, and one for underwear.

Thanks for the idea!

I forgot to add: the specific reason why THIS product would be great is not for my own bin use…I kind of got off on a tangent. What I meant to say before I pressed "Send Comment" was that this would be perfect for my sister's playroom for the kids. There are four of them, so as you can imagine they have a wide assortment of craft/coloring supplies, barbies and accessories, action figures, matchbox cars…etc. These toys are really hard to corral, and I think this would be a great product for her. She could label them by type of toy, and prevent the painful experience of stepping on a lego, or having to search in the big toyboxes for the specific car or little dinosaur that the kids NEED at that moment.

The challenge would be getting the kids to return them to the right bin!

Great ideas, Rachel!
I don't know how old your sister's children are. But if they are very young, tell her to try labeling the bins with pictures of what goes in them. That way even the youngest children can learn to organize!

Thanks!
